JASON LEE
Founder & CEO
Jason is a visionary leader with a passion for emergent technologies. He has a proven track record of identifying early-stage, high-growth technology markets and executing business as a first-mover. He co-founded one of the first internet companies in the UK, which won a global award delivering to an international client base.
His background is in designing embedded microprocessor systems, associated analogue and digital electronic interfaces, and programming the systems at low-level for use in the oil & aerospace industries; many were world-firsts, typically for environments operating well beyond US military specification.
Jason is a regular speaker at events and AI panels including: Buckingham Palace, House of Lords, St James’s Palace, Milken Institute Global Conference, China Britain AI Summit, 4YFN, Unbound, DigitalK, French Tech London and the Lisbon Investment Summit amongst others. He holds a 1st Class MEng (Hons) in Electronic Systems Engineering from Aston University.
Dr GEORGE CEVORA
Chief Data Scientist
George obtained his PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Cambridge.
His expertise includes Topological Data Analysis, Bayesian Statistics and Artificial Neural Networks.
George has developed AI systems for a number of different industry sectors using these methodologies to achieve state of the art performance.
He has been the recipient of multiple awards and is a regular speaker at global conferences on the issues of cognitive science and neuro-computational modelling.
JAT SAHI
Investor Director
Jat’s background is in Sales and Marketing.
He was until recently the Senior Executive at Fujitsu in charge of Retail before leaving to start his own venture.
Jat was previously in charge of Strategy and Innovation in the Office of the Global CTO at Fujitsu.
Prior to Fujitsu, he co-founded a venture in Human Capital Management software which was successfully sold to Oracle.
Jat holds a BSc (Hons) from Brunel University.
KATE CEVORA
Senior Data Scientist
Kate is a senior data scientist working across a range of high-impact Artificial Intelligence projects at illumr.
She has a particular interest in diversity and ethics within AI, and has recently implemented cutting-edge AI techniques within Rosa to remove bias from any type of dataset.
As an accomplished AI software developer, Kate is a champion of women at the current frontier of technology and was recently invited to join the panel of female thought leaders at the Murray Edwards College Cambridge International Women’s Day Event.
Kate holds a 1st Class MEng in Electronics & Information Science from the University of Cambridge. She is currently studying towards a PhD.
RICCARDO GALLI
Data Scientist
Riccardo’s expertise includes frequentist and Bayesian statistics and modelling.
He has completed a number of projects in socio-demographic, clinical, behavioural, cognitive and brain imaging data pre-processing, analysis and modelling. He has also worked on a number of industry projects utilising deep learning, reinforcement learning, natural language processing and genetic algorithms.
Riccardo holds an MSc in Cognitive Neuropsychology (Cum Laude) from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Netherlands. He also holds a Certificate as a Data Scientist from Nanodegree, Udacity. He is currently studying towards a PhD (Neuroscience).
DIMITRI DIOMAIUTA
Data Scientist
Dimitri’s expertise includes distributed systems, evolutionary computing, software modelling, multi-agent systems, reinforcement learning and concurrency/multithreading.
He has worked on a number of industry projects utilising deep learning, reinforcement learning, natural language processing and genetic algorithms.
Dimitri holds a BSc in Computer Science from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Netherlands and an MSc with Distinction in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Southampton.
He also holds a Certificate as a Machine Learning Engineer from Nanodegree, Udacity.
SIVO DASKALOV
Data Scientist
Sivo holds an MPhil in Advanced Computer Science from the University of Cambridge and a BSc in Software Engineering from the Technical University of Varna, Bulgaria.
He was previously the Co-Founder of an AI start-up that automated the task of handling documents related to small claims for insurers and law firms.
His AI expertise includes model building, neural networks, image processing and natural language processing. He was also the recipient of the Varna Municipality Student Award in the field of Security and Defence.
DR IAN BAILEY
Data Architecture Expert
Ian’s PhD thesis was the design of a fourth-generation mapping / ETL language.
He is a recognized industry expert in enterprise scale data architectures, and was the former editor of the ISO/INCOSE Standard Data Model.
Ian was technical lead for both the MOD and NATO Enterprise Architecture Frameworks.
He was elected a Fellow of IET in 2010, Fellow of BCS in 2011 and a Fellow of IMechE in 2013.
Ian holds a PhD in Computer Science from Brunel University.
KERRY DAVIES
Cyber Security Expert
Kerry holds a Masters in Information Security and a BSc in Computer Science.
He built his own successful Information Security Consultancy over 14 years growing it to a 50-person, multi-million-pound business before negotiating its sale to a multinational corporation.
Former Director of KPMG LLP’s Public Sector Cyber Security Practice. As Director of KPMG, Kerry spearheaded acquisitions on behalf of the LLP.
Kerry has thirty years’ experience advising in Cyber Security with clients from the largest commercial organisations to many UK Central Government depts, international bodies, NATO, police and defence departments. He is a Certified CITP, Certified CISO and Certified CISSP.
Dr DAMIAN SUTCLIFFE
Advisory Board Member
Damian retired from a 20-plus year technology career at Goldman Sachs Group Inc., including the last five years as Chief Information Officer for EMEA. He was also Global Head of Regulatory Architecture & Global Head of Enterprise Data Governance at Goldman Sachs.
Over the course of his career, Damian held a range of senior management roles in London, Tokyo & New York delivering large-scale digital and data transformation initiatives.
He is an external advisor at McKinsey, and has recently completed a PhD in Computational Biology at the University of Cambridge where he built machine learning models to predict exacerbations in people with cystic fibrosis.
Dr TOM ASHFIELD
Advisory Board Member
Tom is a medic with experience as a pharmacist, hospital doctor and cancer surgeon. His current work encompasses strategy, economic policy, communications, digital transformation and clinical research.
He currently holds several Non-Executive Director (NED) positions across Policy, MedTech and HealthTech organisations.
He was previously Senior Advisor to Pfizer on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and is a trustee for the British Society of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (BSAC). His work has led to various UK Parliamentary and Lords events and has been published widely including in Lancet and Nature journals.
Dr RANA GHOSH-ROY
Advisory Board Member
Rana is the Director of Artificial Intelligence for Deloitte. He has extensive experience working with tech architecture, big data, analytics and cognitive processes.
He is also the NVIDIA Alliance Leader for Deloitte North and South Europe, and Palantir Alliance Leader for Deloitte UK.
He was previously Director of the Global Data and Analytics and Insights Lab at KPMG. He then joined IBM as a Partner in GBS, leading the Financial Sector in Europe for Cognitive and Analytics.
Rana holds a PhD in Information Management. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur India.
